Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Limited Editions — Full Content List

EA LogoWe’re all knee-deep in dragons now (thanks, Skyrim), but if you’re looking forward to EA’s upcoming RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, you’ll likely be interested in learning more about the Limited Editions — yes, plural — that will be available for purchase on February 7, 2012, when the game ships.

All three limited editions shown below include a custom parchment map of Amalur, a seven-piece die set and Destiny Cards. They are available for pre-order exclusively via this special EA site. Now, on to the contents….

The Special Edition available for $80 includes:

  • Custom parchment map of the world
  • Custom seven-piece set of dice for your next tabletop gaming session
  • Full set of 40 Destiny Cards that are featured in the game
  • Soundtrack of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning composed by Grant Kirkhope

The Collector’s Edition, which will be limited to 700 units, will carry an MSRP of $200 USD and include:

  • All items in the Special Edition (parchment map, seven-piece dice set, full set of destiny cards, and soundtrack)
  • Individually numbered Prismere Troll figurine created by McFarlane toys. The solid resin troll stands at 12.5” and normally retails for $125.
  • High-quality concept art lithograph from Reckoning limited to 1,000 units, signed by game visionary, Ken Rolston.

And finally, a Signature Edition limited to only 300 units and costing $275 USD will include:

  • All items in the Special Edition (parchment map, seven-piece dice set, full set of destiny cards, and soundtrack)
  • All items in the Collector’s Edition
  • Individually-numbered, custom sketch by Todd McFarlane limited to 300 units
  • The Prismere Troll figurine is signed by Todd McFarlane, R.A. Salvatore or Curt Schilling and are limited to 300 editions

Set in a new universe crafted by best-selling author R. A. Salvatore, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is brought to life visually through the trademark style of renowned artist (and Spawn creator) Todd McFarlane. With RPG gameplay at its core, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning adds intense action combat to the genre and an advancement system that lets players evolve their destiny through constant character customization.

And before you consider the Skyrim comment above a cheap way to get hits, consider this: the development team behind Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is led by Ken Rolston, the lead designer of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
