Electronic Arts today shipped Rail Simulator to North American retailers. The PC game for train enthusiasts shipped in Europe in October 2007.
Rail Simulator for PC includes dozens upon dozens of track and train options, as well as exclusive content for the North American version. In the game, players take the helm of historic and contemporary trains on more than 1,000 miles of real-life routes from around the world. The the famous Barstow to San Bernadino route is also re-created specifically in this North American version, which also includes U.S. trains.
Rail Simulator puts players in full control of every aspect of the train’s operation, and it also includes a track editor to create routes and share them with friends online.
The team behind Rail Simulator is the same one responsible for the Microsoft-published Train Simulator.
