Spectrobes was one of the most popular Nintendo DS games of 2007, an anime-inspired role-playing game that was steeped in science fiction. Disney Interactive has just released the sequel, Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals, also for the Nintendo DS, continuing the story of Rallen and Jeena, who are interplanetary officers who must discover and train fossilized creatures to battle enemies (sort of like Pokemon).
Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals includes a host of new features, inclding an entirely new story, a revamped 3D perspective, a map to assist in exploration, new excavation and battle features and new Nintendo Wi-Fi features — including two- and four-player battle and card trading.
