Toshiba has taken the wraps off what’s being billed as “the world’s thinnest LCD TV bezel,” the REGZA Super Narrow Bezel (SNB), which has a measly one-inch width.
The two REGZA SNB models (40-inch and 46-inch) will both display in full 1080p resolution, giving PC and console gamers plenty of space to watch the action unfold in incredible detail. The SNB models also feature new 10-Bit LCD Panels that display 64 times the colors of an 8-Bit Panel. The models also feature xvYCC signal support to accept 1.8 times more colors than standard HD signals.
On the audio front, the REGZA SNB models have a SoundStrip2 speaker system that eliminates any cabinetry below the thin strip of speaker — a “must” for gamers whose entertainment centers are already well-filled with consoles and surround-sound receivers.
The connections on the REGZA sets include three HDMI digital inputs, all with CE-Link HDMI-CEC control for ease of use. The SNB models also feature a PC input capable of high-resolution WXGA and SXGA display.
Both sets will be available this month. The 40-inch REGZA carries an estimated price of $1,899.99, and the 46-inch model will run $2,499.99.
