Wing Commander Arena and Super Contra are both headed to Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday. Wing Commander Arena will cost 800 Microsoft Points, while Super Contra will set you back 400.
In the all-new (read: original) Wing Commander Arena, players form an elite flying squadron in the year 2071 to combat the enemy armada of the Kilrathi Empire. The game will feature four gameplay modes, nine maps and the first 16-player multiplayer combat on Xbox Live Arcade.
In the old-school Super Contra, players will reprise their role as either Bill Rizer or Lance Bean as they take on the nefarious forces of Red Falcon. Super Contra will have updated graphics, but the gameplay will allow both solo play and two-player co-op mode, just like in the original.
