Xbox 360 and PC gamers will have a new shooter franchise to play next year, as Shadow Harvest was unveiled today for both platforms. Shadow Harvest is scheduled to release for Xbox 360 and Windows PCs during the first quarter of 2009.
Shadow Harvest is set in the year 2025. Players take control of two ISA agents, Myra Lee and Aron Alvarez, who have been deployed as elite black-ops agents on various current and future points of conflict around the globe. Together, the characters must cooperatively complete covert operations to achieve their objectives.
Both characters are different from one other and have unique skills, placing increased importance on combining Myra’s stealth skills, cleverness and athletic abilities with Aron’s blunt open-battle approach (he’s a brawler).
Shadow Harvest’s plot is inspired by the activities of the U.S. Army’s special operations unit ISA (Intelligence Support Activity), but it’s not a hardcore military sim. Think of it as a fast-paced tactical action game when playing with Aron, and a stealth or action-adventure game with Myra.
Shadow Harvest is being developed for both the Xbox 360 and PC platforms by Black Lion Studios, and German game developer.
