The snacks are in, the beers are stacked in the fridge and you’ve convinced the girlfriend to go to her parents’ for the evening. Now it’s time to enjoy a good few hours alone with your new best friend in the COD franchise and begin your quest to rack up some Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare easy Achievements.
COD: Advanced Warfare is a game of chance; you can be the best FPS player in the world, but the guys at Sledgehammer and Activision have created a game with some new features to throw at you. So when the chips are down, like they can sometimes be when you’re having a late night session on SuperCasino, don’t despair, roll the dice, pick up that BAL-27 and keep firing.
Oh, and take a look at these easy Achievement walk-throughs to help you move rank up faster and unlock special Achievements on missions:
First, and most importantly, unlock the secret zombie mode in Exo Survival Mode. An installment of COD wouldn’t be the same without a level featuring zombies. To reach the secret zombie round, you have to unlock the Riot Map in Tier 4. Play this and complete Round 10. This will cause a DNA bomb to drop, infecting your enemies and turning them into the walking dead. Complete Round 11, and you’ll see a special cut scene with a horde of zombies taking over the area. Nice!
Secondly, unlock extra tiers on Exo Survival Mode. This could take a while. Successfully complete 50 total rounds in the Tier 1 maps to unlock Tier 2. Complete 75 in Tier 2 to unlock Tier 3. Complete 100 rounds in Tier 3 to unlock Tier 4, which is Riot.
Thirdly, discover all the intel locations. On each mission you have three pieces of intel to collect. There are 45 intel collectibles available, and once you collect them all you receive the “Ferrum Absconsum” Achievement. Intel collectibles look like laptops with a blue display, so be on the look out.
The easy “Carma” Achievement is a fun one to kick start them all. In Mission 1: Induction, there are vehicles with open doors. Rip out one of these and move onto the next area, you’ll find a building with enemies inside. Throw the car door at the enemies and receive the “Carma” Achievement. Get it? Car-ma.
To get the easy Man Overboard Achievement, you’ll have to be in Mission 12, when you reach the deck of a ship where enemies are being brought in by helicopter. One of these enemies will zipline in so melee him to make him fly off the ship and you will receive the Man Overboard achievement. You can also get this achievement by luring an enemy close to edge of hitting him so he falls over the side. Brutal.
The easy Heavy Handed Achievement is in Mission 14. It requires you to simply pick up 20 weapons from dead enemies after your arm has been broken.
A lot has changed when it comes to the multiplayer gameplay in Advanced Warfare, but playing the right game mode will help you rank up faster. Last year in COD: Ghosts the best modes to play to rank-up quickly were Search & Rescue and Cranked. This year it’s got to be Hardpoint.
In this game mode you receive 50 points per kill. You also receive 125 points for every assault and defend you have. An assault is when the enemy team is in the hardpoint and you get a kill, while a defend is when you are in the hardpoint and get a kill while there. Simple.
Finally, you get 150 points for every capture, so every hardpoint that hasn’t been touched yet or has been taken from the enemies brings in XP. Playing to meet the objective on this game mode really counts, and it can make a big difference to your ranking level.
Whether you’ve been playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare game for 12 hours straight or still have it waiting for you at home ready to slap into the console once you’ve finished work, try out some of these tips to rank faster and unlock those special Achievements and features.
