Microsoft talked in greater detail today at GDC about five new Xbox Live Arcade games, highlighted by a Penny Arcade game featuring none other than Gabe and Tycho.
During its GDC keynote, Microsoft said more than 25 independent studios are working on Xbox Live Arcade games, clearly a nod to the indie developers who crowd GDC. The company then chose to highlight five XBLA games that will appear on the Xbox 360 in the not-too-distant future. They were:
Braid: Developed by Independent Games Festival Winner and experimental game designer Jonathan Blow, Braid is a platform experience that bends all the rules with the manipulation of time. Braid will launch this spring.

This role-playing adventure will let up to four players hack, slash and smash their way together through a visually stunning hand-drawn landscape. Castle Crashes will launch this summer.
Defense Grid: The Awakening: Defense Grid: The Awakening is a tower defense game designed specifically for Xbox Live Arcade. The game will launch this summer.
Go! Go! Break Steady: An Xbox Live Arcade exclusive, Go! Go! Break Steady is the debut title from independent developer Little Boy Games. The combination music and puzzle game combines break dancing with novel gameplay and will launch this summer.
Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: The first video game collaboration between Penny Arcade creators Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins and game designer Ron Gilbert, Penny Arcade Adventures is an RPG-adventure set in a stylized 1920s universe filled with bizarre characters, outrageous combat and adult humor.
