Killzone 2 will ship for the PS3 on February 27, 2009, Sony has revealed. Killzone 2 had largely been expected to be a summer 2009 or holiday 2009 release, so this news is most welcome to PS3 shooter fans.
Considering the Killzone 2 multiplayer beta went live on the PlayStation Network several weeks ago, we anticipated the game wasn’t exactly years away from release. But to hear that Killzone 2 will release at the end of February — just two months away — is still rather surprising.
In addition to the game’s release date, Sony also unveiled (via G4) two new weapons for Killzone 2: the Bolt Gun and the Flamethrower.
