A brand-new Dark Fall horror adventure could very well be just what the doctor ordered while gamers wait for, say, Dead Space 2 to hit retail (rumored to be later in 2010). The latest outing, called Dark Fall: Lost Souls, is exclusive to Windows PC and has players exploring a derelict train station and hotel as they explore the memories of the dead in their own “nightmares.” The players’ weapon of choice? A flashlight. Yep, that’s a recipe for video game terror.
The core question this new PC adventure game has players answering is “what has happened to the town of Dowerton?” The grand train station and hotel are now abandoned and haunted, with rot, time and decay tearing the place to pieces. But by entering the old Hotel at Dowerton for one last time, players will finally learn the true identity and the power behind the Dark Fall. To do so, it will take nothing less than battling against the darkness by making ghosts your allies. Fail, and it means an eternity of torture and remorse.
