Mathfeud for iOS, a Turn-Based, Multiplayer Math-Puzzle Game

October 12, 2012 by Sara Leave a Comment

Aalborg, Denmark – We Got Pixels has announced the upcoming release of their new iOS game, Mathfeud. Mathfeud is a mind-boggling, turn-based, multiplayer math-puzzle game for iPhone (including iPhone 5) and iPod touch and will be available October 16, 2012.

Playing Mathfeud is simple: connect numbers to solve as many math puzzles as possible in 2 minutes. Your opponent solves the exact same puzzles, and whoever gets the highest combined score wins! Challenge your friends via Facebook, Twitter or their Mathfeud username. Or, challenge thousands of random players from around the world! A game of Mathfeud consists of 3 rounds, each lasting 2 minutes. To win, you must achieve the highest combined score from all 3 rounds. Set the difficulty to match your math-puzzling skills, and defeat your opponents!

With 3 levels of difficulty, anyone can play and improve their math skills at the same time. The number of math-puzzles you solve isn’t everything. Use your math skills to complete the puzzles, by using as many number multipliers as you can. Multipliers can add a lot of points to your score, and you can achieve very big scores by combining several multipliers in a puzzle. Mathfeud will make math as fun as it should be!

The creator of Mathfeud and founder of We Got Pixels, Christian Christensen, had this to say: “I’ve always had a hard time understanding other math games. They always try to hide math behind other elements, like shooting aliens by multiplying numbers and stuff like that. But people aren’t stupid, they know they are playing a math game in disguise, and then stop playing as a result. We are flipping this approach upside down, and are trying to make math fun instead of hiding it from the player! The thing that really makes math fun in Mathfeud is competing against your friends and family. You know your opponent is solving the same puzzles, and you want to win!”

Mathfeud is coming to the App Store October 16, 2012. Don’t miss the game trailer on YouTube.
