Motion Gaming Comes to Apple TV this Wimbledon with Motion Tennis

June 27, 2013 by Sara Leave a Comment

Just in time for Wimbledon, Rolocule Games has released Motion Tennis for iOS (iPad, iPhone and iPod touch). Motion Tennis is powered by rolomotion, a technology that precisely tracks various movements of iPhone and allows users to play games using natural motion gestures on any HDTV using iPhone and Apple TV. With rolomotion, Motion Tennis brings the most immersive experience on iOS to the living room.

Unlike other motion gaming consoles, there is no need for extra sensory and gaming hardware as rolomotion converts iPhone or iPod touch into a motion controller. Motion Tennis stream to a high definition secondary display on your HD TV using AirPlay mirroring and also significantly reduces the mirroring lag with in-game optimizations. Users can give accurate directions to the ball just by naturally swinging the iPhone/iPod touch like a tennis racquet and also play different kind of tennis shots like groundstroke, slice and lob. In addition to that, users can connect two iOS devices through Wi-Fi to play tennis doubles and enjoy true social gaming in their living room with family and friends. The game also tracks the approximate amount of calories burnt during each game session.

“We believe that gaming on Apple TV holds tremendous potential and Motion Tennis showcases the next generation of mobile games on TV. More than anything, customers may not need to buy dedicated motion gaming console anymore,” said Rohit Gupta, CEO of Rolocule Games. “We had a very successful beta campaign for Motion Tennis and beta users loved the experience of motion gaming using iPhone and Apple TV.”

Motion Tennis also offers different types of tennis courts such as grass, clay and synthetic and various difficulty levels. In addition to the classic tennis mode, users can also play survival mode to create high scores and compete in leaderboards on Game Center.
