Kharkiv, Ukraine – Design Studio Graphicson today introduces QuickBob 1.1.1 for iOS, their new arcade game where all the action takes place at a bar inside a strip club. Bob, finally alone to enjoy some refreshments and entertainment, is seated on a bar stool. Players must use two touch controls on each side to quickly move Bob so that he catches the mugs of beer sliding toward him and the kippers tossed into his open mouth. At the same time, he must turn around on his stool to enjoy the show, duck flying billiard balls, and avoid the bouncer. With only three lives, players must have lightning-fast reflexes to reach maximum scores on Game Center leaderboards.
Design Studio Graphicson, creators of QuickBob, are well known for their imaginative and stylish graphics created for third party clients. QuickBob features graphics and animation that are both titilating and hilarious. The light show in the strip club is especially realistic, while the characters are expertly caricatured, animated cartoons. The cut scenes before and between games instantly convey the game’s premise: having serious fun is not easy.
* Help Bob relax after work and enjoy some refreshments and entertainment
* Universal app displays optimal graphics on all iDevices
* Beautiful girls and lots of beer
* Four touch-control buttons turn Bob left or right
* Creative, stylish graphics and animation
Played in landscape orientation, Bob is seated at the end of the bar, which extends off-screen to the right. The stage extends from the mid-screen to off-screen left. The two right-side buttons both make Bob face right. Touching the top button opens his mouth to catch kippers and score points. Touching the bottom button closes his mouth and lifts his arm to catch the mugs of beers sliding down the bar.
Similarly, both buttons on the left side of the screen make Bob face left. The top button has him duck flying billiard balls, mouth open. The bottom button closes his mouth and lifts his arm to give cash to the strippers. Activating one of the four buttons at the appropriate time scores points, and failing to touch the right button in time means Bob gets beer spilled on him or a kipper in the face, losing a life.
The game has three levels of play: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Even at the lowest level helping Bob put his attention in the right place at the right time is extremely challenging. The game grows harder as players progress at any level, with more objects approaching faster and faster. Players who like a challenge can go straight for Hard, while others can take it slow and progress through the game. There are only three lives to try and retain, which makes gameplay even more interesting. Experienced patrons of strip clubs, multitaskers, and expert gamers may have better luck competing than others, and can show off their high scores and achievements via Game Center integration. There are seven achievement levels with bronze, silver and gold mugs.
“The perfect game to play while having a beer with friends, QuickBob appears to be a very simple game,” commented Natasha Pereuda of Design Studio Graphicson. “Don’t be distracted by flying objects, just touch the right button.”
