baKno Games today released Rasty Pelican 1.0.1, a new desktop game for OS X. Players control Rasty the Pelican who is flying and swimming around the Caribbean sea. Using the arrow keys on the keyboard to navigate, players help Rasty restore his energy by eating fish. Rasty also tries to collect as many coins as possible to earn the highest score as he flies through the day and night.

In addition to avoiding different obstacles like boats, buoys and palm tree islands, Rasty must avoid natural dangers like sharks, eels, squids and whales. Players must also maintain Rasty’s energy and oxygen levels. If Rasty’s oxygen and energy levels become fully depleted, the game is over.
There are 3 levels of gameplay to challenge players: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each level offers more challenges and a quicker pace of gameplay. Players can also customize their gameplay experience by choosing a variety of modes including child-friendly, relax mode, and faster render.
Additional features of Rasty Pelican include the tracking of the Top 100 Scores so players can compare their scores. Players can compete globally and locally.
