Last King of Africa Announced for the Nintendo DS

June 19, 2008 by Sara Leave a Comment

Focus Home Interactive today unveiled a new adventure game for the Nintendo DS, and it’s going to take place in a location known for adventure: Africa.

Last King of Africa, which will be Benoit Sokal’s first adventure title for the DS when it ships in Q4 this year, invites players on a journey deep into an imaginary Africa where they play the role of Ann Smith, the young daughter of the last king of Maurania. Ann, suffering from amnesia after her plane crashed near a city held by a rebel faction, wakes up in a prince’s palace. And that’s where the game begins.

The game’s puzzles and mind-teasers have been completely reworked from Paradise on the PC, with the gameplay taking advantage of the Nintendo DS’ functions (the stylus and microphone) to solve each puzzle. The story has also been re-worked, as has the way in which the game’s zones are laid out and presented.
