The Animus Project Update 1.0 DLC is available today to download for Xbox 360 and PS3 via Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network for free. It was also announced that Ubisoft will make the Animus Project Update 2.0 available for free in January.
Included in the Animus Project Update 1.0 are a new game mode and a new map for the multiplayer mode of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Advanced Alliance, the new game mode, has more difficult target location and engagement than the original Alliance. With three teams of two players each, Advanced Alliance is a greater challenge, but strategic techniques payoff with rewards.
The new map, Mont Saint-Michel, is set on an island in Normandy, France. The scenery is beautiful and includes winding streets, a high bell-tower and multi-leveled architecture. There are a lot more places to hide and hunt, which means there are more spots for the enemy to emerge from.
Coming in January, the Animus Project Update 2.0 includes another new game mode and map for the multiplayer Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. The Pienza Map provides the perfect free-running playground where predators and targets can blend and disappear. There will also be a Chest Capture Multiplayer mode where two teams of three players partner with other Templars to defend or capture Chests.
