The Last of Us DLC Abandoned Territories Map Pack Now Online

October 15, 2013 by Sara Leave a Comment

The first batch of The Last of Us DLC, called the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, is available today alongside the PlayStation Store updates. In addition, Naughty Dog has patched certain aspects of the game taking it to version 1.05.

The Last of Us Abandoned Territories Map Pack is available for $9.99 as a stand-alone The Last of Us DLC item. You can also grab it if you’re part of The Last of Us Season Pass membership. That Season Pass membership costs $19.99 and represents a total of 75% off the cumulative price of buying all the associated DLC separately.

Any PS3 owner can purchase The Last of Us Season Pass via the PlayStation Store or at a game retailer. However, it’s only available for a limited time, so grab it soon.

The Abandoned Territories Map Pack features a total of four new maps on which you can earn valuable supplies to sustain your clan in The Last of Us Multiplayer. The Suburbs map makes weather the opposing Faction along with a random, dynamic dust storm. The Bus Depot map lets players explore a layered level of urban overgrowth with wild giraffes in the background. A dark, eerie environment, moonlit and the perfect setting for some serious stealth, the Hometown map will keep you on your toes. And Bookstore is the only multiplayer map featuring two levels atop one another, adding a highly unique dose of vertical gameplay.

The Abandoned Territories Map Pack DLC is also included as part of Patch 1.05, if you can believe it. Among the items addressed in the patch are: the addition of a playlist for each game type (the DLC maps should appear much more frequently in the vote); it fixes an issue where players on the winning team would occasionally get fully crafted items or machetes from caches, while players on the losing team would get incorrect items; and the Killcard in Interrogation Mode now correctly describes whether your character was executed or interrogated. A full list of items patched can be seen in this video.
