Hellgate: London, the first title from Flagship Studios, is now available for PC at retail outlets in both North America and Europe. Hellgate: London combines traditional role-playing elements with the visceral action of first-person shooters.
The long-awaited action RPG comes from the creators of the Diablo franchise. Here’s the skinny about the game:
It’s 2038, and London lies in ruins after being overrun by hordes of demons. Players begin their mission to save the once-great city by creating a hero, choosing among six character classes, each of which has distinct gameplay styles. The story-driven campaign includes more than 35 hours of gameplay, but the replayability is high due to dynamically generated levels and random items, enemies and events.
While some may prefer to save humanity on their own, gamers will also be able to fight online by joining up with other survivors in a client-server environment to play through the entire story-driven campaign for free. Flagship is also offering an optional subscription service for $9.99/month, which will give players access to ongoing content in the form of quests, character classes, demons, items, etc.
