This week’s Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday release comes to your courtesy of the waayyy back machine, with Double Dragon scheduled to release for 400 Microsoft Points.
Double Dragon is a genuine re-creation of the classic coin-op arcade game and will support co-op play online via Xbox Live. According to the publisher, the game features enhanced art, a new soundtrack and a host of extras, but during our playtesting of the game via the trusty Xbox 360 debug, it sure looks like the same ol’ Double Dragon to us. Is it fun? Mostly. But at the same time, it sure does make you realize how easily we were amused back in the day. My, how times — and controls, and graphics, and expectations — have changed.
