Extinction: Episode 2 Mayday is the next chapter in the unique Call of Duty Ghosts “side story” featuring aliens. The next outing, which will be available for download on April 3 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners, takes the term “alien” in a decidedly briny direction. It’ll feature the Kraken.
Extinction: Episode 2 Mayday is included with Call of Duty Ghosts Devastation, the second DLC pack for Infinity Ward’s latest COD game. Devastation will be available for download on Xbox Live on Thursday, with other platforms to follow. Yes, PlayStation and PC owners, that means you’ll have to wait to send out your own Mayday call.
Extinction: Episode 2 Mayday follows the events of Nightfall, the first time COD gamers got to experience the alien quest. In Episode 2 Mayday, the Quick Reaction Force team has been sent in to investigate a high-tech ghost ship adrift in the South Pacific. There they will find new weapons and items to aid their fight against the alien hoard.
But remember that bit above about the Kraken? We weren’t lying or trying to pull over some April Fool’s Joke on you. Nope, in Extinction: Episode 2 Mayday new terrors also abound, including the wall-crawling “Seeder” and a skyscraper-sized boss called the Kraken.
