NBA 2K15

Fans of 2K Sports' NBA 2K series will be doing a "happy" dance with this news: the NBA 2K15 soundtrack is being curated by Pharrell Williams. If you don't know the name, Pharrell Williams is the Grammy-winning artist who recorded "Happy." To be fair, not everyone's a fan of the song, but the artist isn't a one-trick pony. He's also been tasked with a tall order for the NBA 2K15 soundtrack. 2K Sports has publicly promised the game will have "the most extensive and musically diverse soundtrack in NBA 2K history." Williams is no stranger to … [Read more...]

Zen Pinball 2 PS4 Update Enables Free PS3 Table Imports

PlayStation 4 - PS4

It may not be a free PS Plus game for August, but PS4 owners who have Zen Pinball 2 just got a great pre-func bonus from Zen Studios. A new Zen Pinball 2 PS4 update allows anyone who bought tables on the PS3 version to export them from the "last-gen" system and import them for free to the PlayStation 4. The Zen Pinball 2 PS4 update technically went live July 15. For those PS4 owners who haven't logged into the game since then, this news should be greeted like Christmas in July. All told, the following tables and table packs are now … [Read more...]

Glacier White PS4 Release Date Tied to Destiny

Glacier White PS4

There are myriad reasons to be excited about Destiny, the upcoming game from Bungie and Activision. First is that it's the first non-Halo game to come from Bungie since the Xbox series' launch. Second, it's a multi-platform title, meaning PlayStation owners will get their hands on it via their native console. Third and related to that point, the game's given Sony a specific Glacier White PS4 release date to shoot for. Sony unveiled the Glacier White PS4 at E3, giving an Apple-like vibe to a next-gen console that's already trounced the … [Read more...]

Xbox Games with Gold July Free Games List Only Three Deep

Xbox One Console

The Xbox Games with Gold July free games list is now official, but it's not coming up rosy compared to the June roster. At least not for Xbox One owners, who have just gotten used to seeing the Games with Gold program. Xbox 360 owners are doing just fine with Xbox Games with Gold July free games list, as they'll see two titles for free. Xbox One owners, on the other hand, will get a single title on July 2 after seeing two free games in June. That's not exactly a good way to keep momentum for a Games with Gold program that's just one month … [Read more...]

Call of Duty: Ghosts Invasion DLC for PS3, PS4 This Week

Call of Duty: Ghosts Screenshot

With America's Independence Day almost here, it's interesting to realize the Call of Duty: Ghosts Invasion DLC for PS3 and PS4 will release just one day before the Fourth of July. It's only appropriate, really, since the COD Ghosts Invasion DLC has been available exclusively on Xbox One and Xbox 360 for several weeks and is now gaining "independence" from Microsoft's platforms. Except Microsoft's Windows platform. The Call of Duty: Ghosts Invasion DLC will be available on July 3 for Windows PC in addition to PS3 and PS4. The Call of Duty: … [Read more...]

New Alien Isolation Gameplay Trailer Looks Impressive

Alien: Isolation

The last time we saw an Aliens game, in Aliens: Colonial Marines, the only thing "hot" was the steaming pile of a title that managed a sub-50% Metacritic average. Sega looks to be changing that with the next outing, judging by the new Alien Isolation gameplay trailer. You can't judge a book by its cover, and you can't realistically judge a final game by its trailers. With that said, there's more to be intrigued by in the new Alien Isolation gameplay trailer than we ever saw with Colonial Marines, so there's good reason for some cautious … [Read more...]

PS Plus Free Games for July on PS3 and PS4

Sony PS3 PlayStation 3

With the month of June all but over, Sony has announced the PS Plus free games for July on PS3 and PS4. Last month marked the first time Sony changed things up with the PlayStation PS Plus program. Fortunately, the July PlayStation Plus free games lineup still looks solid. Truth be told, we knew what the PS Plus free games for July on PS3 and PS4 would be after a leak from Sony's PlayStation Asia website. It's still nice to have the confirmation, particularly on the PS4 front. Quite frankly, PS4 owners are getting a couple of really solid … [Read more...]

PlayStation Now Streaming PS3 Games Come to Sony TVs Monday

Sony PS3 PlayStation 3

With the PlayStation Now beta just now rolling-out to PS3 and PS4 owners, Sony's also throwing a bone to consumers who haven't paid for one of the company's shiny game consoles. Starting next week (in July), PlayStation Now streaming PS3 games will begin to appear on Sony Bravia TVs. It's interesting for several reasons that Sony's making select Bravia TVs get PlayStation Now streaming PS3 games. Perhaps the most interesting reason is that Sony's not even one year removed from the launch of its PlayStation 4 console. Presumably the company … [Read more...]
