April 23, 2013 by Sara Leave a Comment

A new puzzle game for iOS and Android went live today called Captain Oil, which features a fictional superhero (Captain Oil) with a spaceship that shoots special balls to save trapped "Oileys" in different worlds. Interestingly enough, the game was inspired by oil pollution being a problem in the world, which makes the game's release during Earth Week quite appropriate. "The idea of the game came to us when we thought that oil was the main problem in the world today," said Lebnan Nader, CEO of Game Cooks, the game's … [Read more...]

MOGA Gaming System from Power A

With mobile gaming becoming a more lucrative opportunity for game programmers, it seems only natural that an accessory would be developed to enhance the mobile gaming experience. With that in mind, PowerA has released the Moga Gaming controller for Android. Overall, I think this is a great attempt at a smartphone-video game peripheral, however, in the rush to release the product for the holiday season, I think some development may have been overlooked. In order to use the controller, you need to download the Moga … [Read more...]

LG CES 2012 Press Conference and Booth Overview

Home to the first press conference of CES 2012, LG Electronics tried to be the pace car for the rest of the day’s (and show's) proceedings. No matter how hard a slew of bad jokes tried to bring them down, LG largely succeeded with enough innovative products to justifiably own your entire home electronics ecosystem. They covered essentially everything from the man cave (nice TVs) to family essentials (smart appliances) to the everyday (smartphones), and I came away impressed each time. LG’s 3D Cinema line of 3D TVs … [Read more...]
