Friday the 13th is among the most revered horror series in movie history, having spawned not only six stand-alone films but no fewer than two spinoffs with a slasher named Freddy. Paramount has just released Friday the 13th Deluxe Editions (IV, V, VI) on DVD, giving home viewers a chance to re-live some of the best action from the last three films in the series.
Friday the 13th Part IV: Jason Lives, Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning and Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (Part VI) comprise this new Deluxe Edition set, which includes remastering for high definition, a new Dolby Digital 5.1 surround-sound mix and lost endings and/or deleted scenes for two of the three films. In other words, These Deluxe Edition DVDs are the ones that Friday the 13th fans will want to own.
