Seoul, South Korea – A world of myth and magic awaits in Amazing Monkey King 2.0, a recently updated version of the challenging action and adventure game. Fresh from Team Refly, Amazing Monkey King now offers two new game modes and additional features for enhanced play. The app is now available for download through the iTunes App Store.

After his birth, the monkey becomes king with his power and wisdom. After much study, he learns Taoist magic and begins to boast to the Heavens about his new powers. The Monkey King loses a bet with Buddha and is placed under Ohaeng Mountain. He is saved and given the role of escorting others on their daring Journey to the West. This game is the story of their perilous adventure.
With the addition of Time Attack Mode and Infinite Mode, Amazing Monkey King now features six modes to challenge even the best gamers. Players can now rush to defeat the vicious and crafty Skull Demon King before it is too late in Time Attack Mode or defend against waves of relentless enemies in the heart-stopping Infinite Mode. The updated game enhances the gamer’s ability to summon magic, includes more powerful enemies, and features 105 stages.
A new Hot Blood Mode turns the Monkey King into a whirling, awe-inspiring force that quickly dispatches even the most dangerous enemies. This powerful mode is perfect to overcome all obstacles when players are in serious trouble. It has a time limit, though, that is shortened after being attacked by enemies.
“With the new modes, Amazing Monkey King is an even more exciting action and adventure game,” said Kim. “It will have players hooked from the start and their thumbs twitching for more.”
The new modes complement original version modes to make for a dynamic gaming experience. Players in Rescue Mode battle to escort the Samzang Monk to safety and save captured villagers. Sky Mode players take flight on a cloud and attempt to crush enemies in the air. A temple overrun with evil beings awaits Normal Mode players while a powerful enemy threatens Boss Mode players.
Just as in the original, the Amazing Monkey King offers in-app purchases of food, knowledge, baggage and currency to improve a player’s abilities and powers. Plus, with Game Center, Amazing Monkey King players can test their newly acquired skills against other players around the world.
