Copenhagen, Denmark – From Denmark (where it created a lot of stir), despite being the happiest place in the world (and the first nation to legalize pornography, although any connection between the two is unproven), comes an app that will surely shock some, and have others bursting into fits of uncontrollable laughter.
“The Fat Penguin” (because nothing breaks the ice better, except perhaps a fat polar bear) is a social trivia game, for 2-8 players (IRL), that will challenge the limits of what you consider “TMI”, and how much you are willing to share of your deepest secrets, and freakiest experiences.
It was criticized in Denmark for being too sexual regarding its inquisitive content, but despite this, it has been used in special education purposes for the mentally challenged. “In order to give them a fun and innocent way to talk about sex, which is especially hard for my students”, says Julie Rasmussen of Langagerskolen (School for the Mentally Challenged).

MAAL Games Inc. is a small publishing company based in Copenhagen, run by Mark Rees-Andersen and Allan Schaufuss Laursen. We focus on pushing the boundaries, for what board games could and should be expected to do, according to what primarily the young audience of 16 to 36 years finds fun and entertaining. The Fat Penguin, in its 3 languages, is the first publication from MAAL Games. Mark and Allan, however, have prior to this publication, collaborated on the card game “Opus-Dei” while they studied philosophy. Copyright (C) 2013 MAAL Games. All Rights Reserved.
