Stockholm, Sweden – On December 13, 2012, Apprope will be posing a new challenge for game players: How much do you know about 2012? This New Years Eve, partygoers will be pulling out their iPhones, iPods, and iPads to take the challenge. With a handy score sheet, people can keep score casually or as competitive teams.
2012 QUIZ contains over 200 questions in categories such as politics, news, movies and TV, music, sports, and general trivia. Brainiacs and pop culture buffs alike will come together with these versatile questions to see who followed current events the closest this year. Players will find questions about the Grammy awards, Olympics, Superbowl, elections, and the many controversies of the past year.
2012 QUIZ has a stylish design that is easy to use. It is simple to keep score, and the questions are written in a black, universal font with a basic, color-coded backdrop . The answer is hidden until players click on an arrow to reveal it. Teams then mark up the score. Instead of creating names, players and teams can choose their own icons to represent their party on the scoreboard, with options like hockey masks, balloons, butterflies, and scholarly hats. The scoreboard can handle up to six players or teams at a time.
“Device application trivia is fun because players can move at a quick pace. Unlike board games, no quiz cards get lost and no one needs to scramble with paper and pen to keep the score. This game has all the social features of a great board game, without the mess,” notes game creator Daniel Lodin.

2012 QUIZ (v1.0) is Free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category. Special features come if the whole package is purchased for $2.99 (USD). By paying, players will be able to access the scoreboard and dozens of more questions. Furthermore, they’ll be able to avoid the ads that pop up during free gameplay. The game is available in English, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian with localized questions for each market.
