App Ideas has introduced an update to Total Downloader, taking the app to version 1.4 and adding a host of new features including a new media player and a procedure for compressed archive. With the update, Total Downloader can download and play any video file type and any compressed archive, even if multi-part, from any file-hosting and file-sharing website. This new release also introduces a FAQ page, directly available through the integrated browser.
It allows you to instantly download videos, audio or image files embedded into any website. You can start multiple simultaneous downloads, pause and restart them whenever you want, as well as organize your files in a special archive, creating folders and subfolder.
To download any kind of file using Total Downloader:
1. Visit your favorite sites using the integrated multi-tab browser
2. Start a video, select a photo or document on the website
3. Click on the download button that automatically appears
You can start multiple simultaneous downloads, pause and restart them whenever you want. After downloading, Total Downloader allows you to organize your files in a special archive, creating folders and subfolders. You can also set a password for each folder to protect your downloads from prying eyes.
You can create mixed playlists with audio and video files than can be played while the application remains in background so that you can use your iPhone just like a standard mp3 player. You can also access your download archive from your PC or Mac using high speed WiFi connection or USB cable (with iTunes). The playlist can be controlled by a remote control.
Total downloader is available as a free release (now a five-minute delay between downloading files) and a paid release (no need to wait between downloading files).
