Turning the whole world into an optical illusion

October 4, 2012 by Sara Leave a Comment

Tallinn, Estonia – PlanB Labs (an awesome indie game developer studio backed by GameFounders, Europe’s first gaming accelerator program) released an iOS game, one you haven’t seen before. Mixing up Optical illusions with a puzzle game, it created something so genuine that you have to try out if you’re into unique things. ThinkInvisible – The Game will change your perception about how we see things, what’s important in a picture and prove how deep-rooted the cartoon characters, logos and other pop cultural visual elements that surrounds us are. And above all, the whole thing looks really amazing. Here’s your chance to rediscover the million-times-seen pictures and have some fun!

The ThinkInvisible technique is based on the phenomenon invented by Gaetano Kanizsa to show the power of Gestalt psychology. If we want to sum it up in one sentence: We show you only the most important details, forcing your brain to uncover and complete the rest. There’s a charming trailer that shows exactly what is it all about. Inspired by him, we went on experimenting and turned the whole world into an optical illusion. As a result, our pictures got features on more than 300 design blogs and we reached millions of people on the web. We’ve got so many positive feedbacks that we started developing ThinkInvisible – The Game, hired a sound talent who created a lot of really fun soundbites that you can hear if you solve a puzzle.

Many times you’ll encounter the “Ohh, it’s on the tip of my tongue” feeling when playing with ThinkInvisible. No worries, just post the picture on your Facebook or Twitter wall and ask your friends for help. Perhaps the solution will appear sooner than you’d expected. If they couldn’t help you, fear not, there is a possibility to “Reveal the answer” at the cost of points you’ve collected.
