Nijmegen, Netherlands – Independent developer Jack Van der Post is proud to announce WordnRoll 1.04, his new action word game developed for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. WordnRoll can best be described as a combination between games like Tetris ™ and Scrabble ™. Word game fans can play this fun game alone or online against a friend. The game consists of a short introduction, a single player modus, a multiplayer modus, statistics and various game settings.
In the single player game the aim is to get the highest score. Each time a row with letters drops down, time goes a bit faster before a new row drops. A row with letters can be moved (roll) left or right by touching a finger on the cable. Tapping a letter lets it drop. Swiping over letters selects a word.
Words of 4 letters or longer and bonus words give extra score multipliers.
When the rows reach the top of the screen, the game is over.
To get rid of letters you can’t use at the moment, you can play the bomb. A bomb is a special letter which drops sometimes and you can blow up letters with it!
In the multiplayer game a word of 4 letters or longer, or bonus words, will give your opponent extra rows with letters. The ammount is determined by the score multiplier. When your opponent goes up because you send letters, his / her avatar briefly appears on your iPhone to show how many rows your opponent has. So make words to push your opponent to the top. Multiplayer is realtime, so no more waiting on turns!
