Zuba! Hits the App Store with an Awesome Update

Nov 20, 2012

Minsk, Belarus – Melesta Games is pleased to announce the long-expected update to its popular game Zuba!, developed for iOS devices. Zuba! 1.1.1 is an adventure game in which users help a funny hero Zuba during the exciting chase for candies and sweets. Combining classic elements of arcade games and lots of fun iOS abilities, the game has proved to be non-stop fun designed for all ages and skill levels.

The first version of Zuba!, the joint project of Terra Zolotaria and Melesta Games, was released in August 2012. It took several months of hard work for the update to be completed. Developers put a lot of efforts into the new version which resulted in significant gameplay changes.

First of all, the new game relies on an energy system that limits the amount of time you can play the quest unless you 1) wait for about an hour for the energy meter to refill, 2) regain the energy by eating candies, 3) receive or send presents to your friends, 4) use red pill to restore energy points.

Secondly, the game is divided into stages. After each stage is successfully completed, players get the opportunity to collect additional bonus stars and candies without wasting energy. Division of the game into stages and introduced energy system ensures the optimum length of a gaming session.

The new game features great power up updates. The blue pill was replaced by the magnet to help users attract more candies and stars. Compared to the previous version of the app, character customization has undergone massive changes. Users can choose from a wide variety of accessories available in the store and change the look of Zuba as they proceed with the game. Each accessory has its own unique set of characteristics which increase the duration of invisibility, magnet and reduces energy expenditure.

Integration with Facebook helps users to stay in touch with friends while playing. Players can invite any of their friends to join the game and compete against each other, send and receive energy gifts, share screenshots with their customized Zuba. Rating system keeps track of the player’s positions. Every time the user improves, a special notification is shown and player is awarded a bonus of 100 stars. Zuba! also uses Apple’s Game Center, so that users can view the worldwide leaderboards and achievements.
