Falling Bird Flapping Downwards onto iPhone, iPad Today

April 10, 2014 by Sara Leave a Comment

FlipBox Games, a husband-and-wife indie game development team, has released Falling Bird for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Falling Bird stars Tamatori, a ninja bird in training. His mission is to collect as many scrolls as possible while avoiding deadly sharp spikes. One hit and it’s game over.

Falling Bird takes inspiration from Flappy Bird, but instead of making a direct clone like most developers, FlipBox Games implemented the falling mechanics from their previous game Falling Fox — but with the randomness of Flappy Bird’s obstacles. To kick it up an extra notch, the game’s speed will increase as the player descends deeper. Altogether there are 10 levels of difficulty.

The team has also included 5 cool costumes that can be unlocked by playing the game, with more coming in the near future.

“We hope you enjoy playing this game as much as we enjoy making it. It’s simple yet very challenging. As always you can follow our development progress by liking our Facebook page or following us on Twitter”

Key features of the game include:
* 10 Levels of difficulty
* 5 cool costumes to be unlocked
* GameCenter – Achievements and Leaderboards

Device Requirements:
* Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 6.0.0 or later
* Optimized for iPhone 5
* Universal Application
* 11.9 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Falling Bird is free to download and available worldwide through the App Store in the Games Arcade category.
