HTC and Verizon have a long-standing Android partnership (hello, Thunderbolt), but the companies are set to release a new Windows Phone on June 2 that should entice people who also happen to own an Xbox 360. Why? Because if you buy the HTC Trophy from Verizon before July 15, you’ll be eligible to receive a free Xbox 360 game.
Anyone who buys the HTC Trophy from Verizon before that date can choose one game from a group of several popular titles, not the least of which are Halo Reach, Kinect Sports and Lode Runner.
The HTC Trophy will be available for purchase online for Verizon starting May 26, and it will be in stores on June 2. Both purchase methods (online or offline) will be eligible for the free Xbox 360 game.
As with other Windows Phones currently on the market, HTC Trophy owners will be able to sync directly with Xbox Live, allowing them to access their avatar, profile and Gamerscore. The HTC Trophy is the only Verizon phone that allows gamers to play games with Xbox LIVE. Users will also be able to access music and videos with a Zune Pass subscription.
