Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced today that Futurama: Bender’s Game will debut on Blu-ray Disc Nov. 4, the same day it will appear on DVD.
The plot of Futurama: Bender’s Game will see the Planet Express crew taking off on a dangerous mission as fuel prices skyrocket, meaning the crew needs to infiltrate the world’s only dark-matter mine (the source of spaceship fuel). Deep beneath the surface, however, they discover a far stranger place: a medieval land of dragons, sorcery and intoxicated knights who look like Bender.
Joining the cast will be guest stars George Takei (Captain Sulu from the original Star Trek) and comic impressionist Rich Little.
The disc will be authored in BD-Java with AVC (MPEG 4) compression and presented on 50 GB dual-layer disc. The audio track will be English 5.1 DTS HD Lossless Master Audio plus English, French, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese subtitles.
