Now that Battlefield 4 has launched on five systems (including the newly released Xbox One), franchise fans are eager to take the fight against 63 other players in all-out multiplayer battles. Problem is, there have been some Battlefield 4 technical issues standing in the way of some users' progression. In light of those Battlefield 4 technical issues, the game's developer, DICE, has released a letter apologizing to BF4 fans and offering something special in exchange for their patience. Below is the BF4 letter from … [Read more...]
Need for Speed Rivals Xbox One Gameplay Video
With Sony unloading more than 1 million PS4s in its launch week, the next volley in the early next-gen console battle comes this week, when Microsoft releases its Xbox One in North America. Forza Motorsport 5 has gotten a lot of first-party attention, but our favorite next-gen racing game at E3 was by far EA's Need for Speed Rivals. As if you needed another reason to get excited for it, EA has sent along this Need for Speed Rivals Xbox One gameplay video for your viewing pleasure. Whereas Forza 5 is more on the … [Read more...]

Electronic Arts has finally announced the Titanfall release date for Xbox One. The first game from Respawn Entertainment, a ragtag crew of former Infinity Ward (read: Call of Duty) developers, Titanfall will release to store shelves on March 11, 2014. Titanfall is an exclusive to Xbox One, Microsoft's next-gen system that ships Nov. 22, as well as Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Xbox One and PS4 Almost Didn’t Get Battlefield 4 at Launch
There's been a rash of next-gen game delays recently, from Watch Dogs and The Crew to DriveClub, with the culprit generally being the steep learning curve with next-gen hardware. As if developing a game weren't hard enough, it turns out that creating one for the unreleased Xbox One and PS4 is perhaps more daunting than some development teams realized. In fact, it got to the point that EA and DICE almost missed the window for Battlefield 4 to be an Xbox One and PS4 launch title. In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, … [Read more...]
Need for Speed Rivals Release Date Meshes with Xbox One, Not PS4
Speculation has run rampant that Electronic Arts is in cahoots with Microsoft, leading to EA executives actually stating that the second-largest game publisher doesn't favor the Xbox One over the PS4 in any way. Still, today's announcement from EA about the Need for Speed Rivals release date for both next-gen consoles is enough to make one wonder whether the statement was sincere. In North America, Need for Speed Rivals will be in stores Nov. 22 for Xbox One, making it a day-and-date Xbox One launch title. The … [Read more...]
Need for Speed Rivals Gameplay Video: Progression and Pursuit Tech
I've been a huge fan of the Need for Speed series for years now, and Need for Speed Rivals looks to put the series on steroids. For 15 minutes of behind-closed-doors time at E3, I got to play the Cops vs. Racers mode on the PS4. It left me with many thoughts, but one word kept coming to mind: stunning. EA has released a new Need for Speed Rivals gameplay video, which we wanted to share below. This new Need for Speed Rivals gameplay video focuses on the game'progression and pursuit technology. In Need for Speed … [Read more...]

Battlefield 4 Beta Starts Oct. 1 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC
If you haven't had a chance to attend E3 or PAX, you'll soon get your chance to be hands-on with Battlefield 4. EA has announced that the Battlefield 4 beta starts on Oct. 1 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. By all accounts, the Battlefield 4 beta will be open to just about anyone, although there are sure to be some quantity limitations. It's unclear, however, this this version of the beta compares to the "exclusive" Battlefield 4 beta that was previously announced for special BF players. That beta program involved … [Read more...]
Battlefield 4 Vehicles: Players Can Truly Pimp My Ride
We've seen a lot of the Campaign and Multiplayer action in Battlefield 4, but vehicles haven't played much of a role beyond background eye candy so far. Veteran Battlefield gamers know all too well the value of vehicles in the franchise, so it was just a matter of time before DICE and EA started talking about Battlefield 4 vehicles and their customization options. That time is apparently now. Since the beginning, vehicles have played an essential role in the all-out-warfare experience that happens only in … [Read more...]
U.S. in FIFA World Cup, Microsoft Looks Brilliant with Xbox One
Last night’s 2-0 victory over Mexico by the U.S. soccer team put the football soccer club on track to compete in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. While the U.S. team celebrated earning a ticket to Brazil, MLS fans nationwide went wild at the sudden spotlight on their favorite sport. But another group was doing high fives as well. And it’s not one that most U.S. soccer fans would expect to be pulling for them: Microsoft.
