Starship Troopers was arguably a bit on the campy side of the sci-fi realm, but Lord help it if the movie didn't find a cult following and praise for its special effects. In the film, a host of surfer-dude characters fight both to win Denise Richards' attention and to rid the galaxy of thousands of VW-sized killer bugs that inhabit the Klendathu system.
