Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4: these are the consoles which have dominated the console gaming industry for a long time now. They are constantly evolving, with new and interesting features added to them with each installment and exclusive game titles, just to occupy that space in your living room. Needless to say, the game libraries of both the consoles have expanded greatly, and both of them now starting at $350, there was never a better time to get the best in the gaming arena. But which one should you … [Read more...]
Xbox 720 May Include Projection, Fill Room with Video
Forget about the next generation of gesture controls...it looks like Microsoft's next Xbox may include technology that turns your entire living room into a video screen. When the original Kinect released, people did all sorts of crazy stunts with it, including restructuring the hardware and turning it into a sort of 3D projector. Microsoft's Research department apparently had a similar idea, and their idea may be incorporated into the next Xbox ("Xbox 720") and/or into the next version of the Kinect Hardware ("Kinect … [Read more...]
Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor Review
For those of us old enough to remember the first “next gen” console called the original Xbox, the name “Steel Battalion” is the stuff of lore. Nowadays you’ll see Street Fighter games release on occasion with special peripheral controllers, or you’ll see interesting props that extend the gameplay like Sony’s Wonderbook for the PlayStation Move. But Steel Battalion took the concept of a peripheral and jacked it to 11. Since when did a game predicated upon driving a tank-like structure actually ship with (and require) a … [Read more...]

Yoostar on MTV Review
The Yoostar games are a karaoke fan's dream come true, a statement that's never been more true than it is with Yoostar on MTV. The concept of the Yoostar games is pretty consistent from one to the next -- act out movie and/or music video roles via the Xbox Kinect hardware and see your performance on screen -- but this MTV-branded outing break from the norm by focusing exclusively on one company's IP. In this case, MTV's. Shows like Road Rules, Pimp My Ride and Jersey Shore butt up against music videos from artists … [Read more...]

Well, much like star NFL and NBA athletes are featured on video game covers, now Michael Phelps too has his own game, an Xbox Kinect-exclusive title … [Read more...]
Hulk Hogan’s Main Event Review
Back when “WWF” didn’t stand for World Wildlife Federation, when Andre the Giant first left his feet via a Hulk Hogan suplex, and when Randy “Macho Man” Savage was the luckiest man alive because of Elizabeth, I was wrestling’s biggest fan. I watched Hogan battle the Iron Sheik, I attended local wrestling matches on Saturday nights, and I even caught the WWF (now WWE) when it came to town and had the good fortune to be left with a throbbing hand after the Ultimate Warrior high-fived me on his sprint to the ring. At one … [Read more...]
