From The Abyss, an action RPGfor the Nintendo DS, was announced and dated today by Aksys Games. The DS-exclusive title will ship during Q4 this year.
In From the Abyss, players will be able to explore the world of Rubenhaut through a world-creation engine exclusively created for the game. The game also features an intuitive control scheme (you know, since it’s for the DS and all…) and a two-player co-op battle system.
Every time players start a new journey, the game will randomly generate a custom world, essentially like the random dungeon mechanics PC gamers have enjoyed for years. Players will also be able to customize their in-game characters by distributing their skill points to define their character’s powers.
