Criterion Games and EA announced today that motorcycles will finally be available in Burnout Paradise this week, as the companies plan to release the FREE Bikes Pack on Sept. 18. The Bikes Pack marks the first time motorcycles have appeared in a Burnout game.
With the new Burnout Paradise Bikes Pack, players will be able to pick from two fast motorcycles featuring a male or female driver and start on a whole new progression to earn their bike license. There are 38 new against-the-clock race events, some tailored for the day (Burning Ride) and others designed for night runs (Midnight Ride).
In addition, the brand new in-game 24-hr clock will result in the roads clearing off at midnight when folks are home sleeping, and filling up with morning traffic when the in-game world is off to work.
The bikes in Burnout Paradise can also be used online in Freeburn mode. This mode offers uninterrupted drop-in / drop-out online play. Burnout Paradise’s Freeburn mode offers 350 collaborative challenges already; the Bike Pack adds another 70 to the mix. These 70 bike-exclusive challenges are split 50:50 between regular challenges and timed, against-the-clock challenges for those who enjoy a little more intensity.
