EA today announced that SKATE, its skateboarding sim, will ship in September for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 version will ship 10 days earlier, however, and Xbox 360 owners will also get a free demo on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
SKATE for Xbox 360 will ship on September 12 in the U.S. and September 14 in Europe, while its PS3 kin will ship on September 24 in the U.S. and October 5 in Europe. The Xbox Live Marketplace demo of SKATE will go live on August 15.
The downloadable demo will feature tutorials and gameplay challenges in San Vanelona’s community center skatepark. It will also include the skate.reel feature by which gamers can capture video of their skate session at any time and share it online at www.skate.ea.com for other players to view, rate and comment on.
