While we’re all stoked to get behind the wheel of next-gen racing games like Need for Speed Rivals and Forza Motorsport 5, there’s a current generation of consoles that still deserves your attention. Sure, there’s Gran Turismo 6 for PS3, but Warner Bros. Interactive wants you to know there’s a fun multi-platform game headed your way too: Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver.
Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver will ship September 17 on five platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC. In Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver, players join the ranks of Team Hot Wheels and compete in dozens of fast-paced, replayable challenges that highlight the driving styles of the different teams. These challenges are set in four under-the-radar Hot Wheels test facilities around the world.
Featuring 24 outrageous and iconic Hot Wheels vehicles, the game pushes players to their limits to see if they have what it takes to become Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver. The different teams will let players decide which racing style best matches their own: the record-breaking speed of the Green Team, the show-stopping stunts of the Red Team, the super-tight precision with the best technology of the Blue Team, or the record-breaking jumps of the Yellow Team.
In case you didn’t know, Team Hot Wheels is comprised of the most fearless and skillful drivers in the world. Hand-picked for their automotive driving abilities, Team Hot Wheels members are recruited to test the most advanced vehicles and attempt the most challenging stunts at a mysterious location known as the Hot Wheels Test Facility.
And no, that’s not fictional. Team Hot Wheels has in fact already set three world records in 18 months.
Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver will be available for $39.99 on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U, and for $29.99 on 3DS and PC. You can pre-order the game by clicking this link: Hot Wheels World’s Best Driver at Amazon.
