Warner Bros. Interactive today confirmed that a free demo for the upcoming DC Comics fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us is in fact coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3. The demo will arrive just two weeks before the full retail game hits retail. The Injustice: Gods Among Us demo will hit the PlayStation Network (PSN) in America on April 2, and it will hit PSN in Europe and Xbox Live worldwide on April 3.
The Injustice: Gods Among Us demo will include Batman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor, three of the playable characters featured in the full game’s DC Comics roster. Set in the Gotham City arena, the demo will give fans a taste of those three characters’ unique superpowers and their individual moves as they destroy elements of the world and fight through the multi-tiered arena.
Injustice: Gods Among will introduce an original story featuring a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons such as Batman, Green Arrow, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and others. The demo won’t delve too deeply into the story, but it’s bound to provide some hints based simply on the limited dialogue it may have and its sets. One thing we do know is that the story will hinge on epic battles taking place on a massive scale, which indicates nothing less than a worldwide (galaxy-wide?) war.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is scheduled to release April 16 for Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Wii U.
