The highly stylized third-person shooter WET is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 after all, Bethesda announced today. Why’d Bethesda announce it? Well, because they’re the ones publishing it.
In WET, players assume the role of Rubi Malone, a mercenary who has expertise in “wetworks,” or covert operations that get a little messy. WET will take place in locations around the world and have a unique “retro film” visual treatment to go with its 70’s-inspired music.
The gameplay will mix third-person shooter elements with acrobatics and sword kills. With dual pistols and a samurai sword, players can engage in combat while sliding on floors, running on walls, jumping, flipping and performing acrobatic moves.
Bethesda is scheduled to ship this fall for both the Xbox 360 and PS3.
