THQ today announced that Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? Back to School has shipped and is now available exclusively for the Wii system and the Nintendo DS family of hand-held systems, just in time for the holiday shopping season. The game recreates the fun of the show’s new, fast-paced format as it challenges players to be smarter than a 5th grader. Popular host, Jeff Foxworthy is on hand in Mii character form to quiz players on how much information they have retained from the first through the fifth grade, as they compete to see who is in fact, “smarter than a fifth grader.”

The new Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? Back to School video game captures the essence of the popular television game show and its new, fast-paced format. Up to three players can compete to test their first through fifth grade level skills and knowledge with topics ranging from art to science and history. To keep up with the pace and intensity of this year’s challenges, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? Back to School will include faster segments and funnier dialogue featuring the voice of host Jeff Foxworthy. The game introduces new and unique platform specific features, gameplay enhancements and two brand new game modes.
