Whether you’re dressing up or not, millions of kids and kids at heart are donning costumes to celebrate Halloween, and Disney Interactive’s new Disney Universe game is getting into the spirit of things with a series of downloadable costume packs. The first round of this Disney Universe DLC won’t hit until Nov. 15, but hat’s off to the company for announcing the new costumes on official dress-up day.
Disney Universe is currently available for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Windows PC.
The first release, a “Disney Villains Costume Pack,” will be available for download on the Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network and the PlayStation®Network on November 15. The costume pack includes five new character costumes based on Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians), Hades (Hercules), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), The Evil Queen (Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs) and Ursula (The Little Mermaid).
In January 2012, The Jungle Book crew will make their appearance in a DLC costume pack based on the 1967 film from Walt Disney Animation Studios. In March, costumes inspired by Kermit, Miss Piggy and their friends will be introduced with the release of The Muppets costume pack.
Individual costumes for the upcoming Disney Villains Costume Pack will be available for download for $0.99 on PlayStation Network or 80 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. The complete package will be available for $2.99 on PlayStation Network or for 240 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live.
