Sega today uploaded the Sega Genesis classic Golden Axe III to Nintendo’s servers, meaning gamers can now download the classic game on the Wii Shop Channel. Prices start at 800 Wii Points for Sega Genesis titles.
In Golden Axe III, players visit the once-peaceful kingdom from the original Golden Axe to find it threatened yet again by the Prince of Darkness, who has stolen the Golden Axe, taken over the kingdom and rendered all its warriors harmless with a curse. In this one- or two-player action game, players can take the role of a giant, panther or sword-wielding human to fight your way to the Golden Axe and save the kingdom.
