Konami today shipped DanceDanceRevolution Hottest Party, the first DDR game for the Nintendo Wii, and in fact the only DDR game to be developed exclusively for the Wii.
DDR Hottest Party features an all-new soundtrack of hits from the last four decades. Up to four players can take part in the game’s multiplayer action, which takes full advantage of the interactive Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
The game incorporates the Wii Remote and Nunchuk into the traditional mat-based gameplay to prompt players to move their arms while they dance, not just their feet. Fan favorites such as Free Play and Workout Mode return, while new modes include a Friendly Synch multiplayer mode (each player must step on the correct arrow or respond to the correct Wii Remote movement in unison, which encouragiesng cooperative gameplay) and an updated Battle Mode.
DDR Hottest Party soundtrack includes hits from the 1970s to the present, with such popular titles as: Summertime, Disco Inferno, You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) and 99 Red Balloons.
