There’s a new Monster 4×4 racing to the Wii this fall, as Ubisoft today announced Monster 4×4: Stunt Racer is in development and will include “bigger wheels, faster trucks and crazier stunts” than those in Monster 4X4: World Circuit.
In case you haven’t heard of Monster 4×4: World Circuit, you’re probably in the minority. That game is the second highest-selling driving game on the Wii.
The tracks in Monster 4×4: Stunt Racer will range from inner-city construction sites to remote canyons and beyond, as the traditional racing mechanics will be mixed with wall-driving features and vertical stunts. And speaking of “mixed,” the vehicles in Monster 4×4: Stunt Racer can all be customized.
In this sequel, players will be able to use nitro to pull off crazy stunts such as barrel rolls and back flips, not to mention using it to drive vertically to reach shortcuts. The game will also include seven new tracks of varying terrains — with each terrain affecting truck handling.
Up to four players will be able to play Monster 4×4: Stunt Racer via split-screen play. The modes will include Racing, Freestyle Show-Off and Last Man Standing.
Monster 4×4: Stunt Racer will ship later this fall.
