Activision has released some new details about X-Men Origins: Wolverine, an action adventure game set to release in May 2009 alongside the feature film of the same name. Developed by Raven Software, X-Men Origins: Wolverine will appear on every platform known to man: Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, Nintendo DS, PS2 and PSP (PlayStation Portable).
X-Men Origins: Wolverine will see players working through the tormented origins of Wolverine, from his escape of the Weapon X facility to the jungles of Africa and beyond. Naturally, this is similar to the movie’s plot, but it also includes some “beyond the story” elements.
Set in a variety of real-world locales, the video game will let players discover the truth about Wolverine’s past while taking on enemies with his trusty adamantium claws. Activision promises fast-paced combat, evasive maneuvers, in-depth combo attacks and “brutal finishing moves.”
