Wii Fit Plus now has an official release date in North America: October 4. To help Nintendo fans bide the time until the new game comes out, though, the house that Miyamoto built is also releasing new colors for its DSi, Wii Remote, Wii Nunchuk and Wii MotionPlus accessory.
On Sept. 13, Nintendo will makes its new DSi handheld system available in both White and Pink, joining the Blue and Black versions that already exist in retail.
Later this holiday season, Nintendo will release a Black Wii Remote bundled with a Black Wii MotionPlus accessory. A Black Nunchuk will also be available around that same holiday timeframe.
The biggest news here, though, is clearly the release date for Wii Fit Plus. In fact, some people might not even know the game was in the works. So for those readers, here’s the skinny: Wii Fit Plus is an enhanced version of the game that includes new exercises, new yoga activities and new balance games. Wii Fit Plus will also let users customize their workouts to target specific areas of their bodies, not to mention determine the amount of time each workout should last.
It’s worth noting that Wii Fit Plus is not a sequel, but a flat-out replacement for the existing Wii Fit game that’s on the market. The new Wii Fit Plus will be bundled with the Wii Balance Board for $99.99. The Wii Fit Plus disc will also be available on its own for $19.99.
