Rygar: The Battle of Argus will ship for the Nintendo Wii on February 3, 2009, Tecmo announced today. This new Wii version has been enhanced to work specifically with the motion-sensing Wii Remote, and it’s been upgraded with new enemies, techniques and a new Gladiator Mode.
In Rygar: The Battle of Argus, players will journey through the sundered Island of Argus as they use the Wii Remote to control Rygar’s Diskarmor and maneuver on, around, over and under obstacles.
The game originally appeared on the PS2.
The new Gladiator Mode is specially designed for players to swing the Wii Remote, while the rest of the action-adventure game will span various unique zones filled with combat and light puzzle solving.
Multiple Diskarmor weapons will be sprinkled around the world, all of which can be upgraded with elemental power-ups such as fire, ice and lightning. The game will also include more than 40 different combo attacks.
